Re-install KB3000850 (includes KB3014442), restart PC * KB3000850 has a bug where the following 5 files are not updated. I deployed printers to some computers using group policy. On some computers, the printers appear. On others, they don’t. All the computers are running Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter. IMHO the group policy is deployed correctly on the target computers I believe that I have the correct drivers on the Print server (running windows 10) On the computers that have the printers deployed, the driver been used is the “Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility” And on the computers where the printers do not show, the “Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility” driver is missing in the list. 1 – why are the correct drivers not installed/used on the computers 2 – from where can I install the missing “Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility” Thanks Christophe. Hi Christophe, When a computer connects to a shared print queue on the server, it checks locally for a v4 print driver, it may also check Windows Update at connection time or later for a matching driver on Windows Update. If it finds a match, the client downloads that driver and connects using client-side rendering (CSR). Otherwise, the client connects using the enhanced Point and Print driver. If the client does not have this driver already, it downloads it from the server. At this point, the client downloads configuration data files from the server and associates them with the client print queue. Therefore, please check if the enhanced Point and Print driver is installed correctly on your printer server. And please make sure that the clients could connect the printer server well. And please check what driver model is used: v3 or v4.
